Teapot

This is a hand and wheel project that is 6''x4''. It has a rather short base and a small handle. The spout is sized so that is fits the rest and the lid is an inward mushroom lid. The entire glaze is clear with turquoise splatters on it. The element I used when making this project was color. The skill I used when making this project was attatching multiple pieces of pulled clay to a wheel made structure.

This is a lidded wheel project that is 6''x3''. The lid sits in the vase while the vase flares out. The lid is a little too big for the vase but it fits anyways. The entire project is glazed in white with blue stain splattered on it. A skill I used when making this project was working with surface design. An art element present in this project is color and movement of the glaze.

This is a wheel plate that is 10''x1''. It has very short walls and a flat base. The entire project was glazed with a light turquoise color. A skill I used when making this plate was keeping even pressure when pulling the plate outwards. An art element in this project is color, because of the brightness and simplicity of the glaze.

This is a wheel bowl that is 5''x3''. It's walls are flared and has a smaller base. It is glazed with clear with dark blue stain splattered on it. A skill I used when making this project was creating a simple almost flawless bowl. An art element present in this project is its complex surface design.

This is a wheel plate that is 9.5''x1''. It has flared walls and a flare base. The project is clear glazed with splatters of dark blue stain. The skill I used when making this project was was creating a detailed surface design with the stain. An art element in this project is probably the design.

This is a wheel altered vase that is 3''x5''. The entire top of the vase is folded over onto itself. The glazes I used were green, blue, turquoise, red, yellow, and black which are all splattered onto the vase. The skill I used when making this project is altering a project while still on the wheel. An art element that is present in this project is shape or structure shown through the folding of edges on the vase.

This is a wheel cylinder that is 6''x3''. It has straight walls and two sets of wave patterns engraved on the outside. The entire project is glazed in a dark blue with the engravings covered with clear. The skill I used when making this project was creating even walls and creating detail design. The art element present in this project is structure shown with the engravings.

This is a wheel altered plate that is 1.5''x8''. It has flared walls with the very top edge altered into a wave shape. The entire thing is glazed in white with multiple colors splattered on it. The skill I used when making this project was altering the project while still spinning the wheel. The art element shown in this project was shape because of the way the altered top of the plate is constructed.

This is a wheel altered bowl that is 4''x6''. It has flared walls with the very top edge altered into a wave shape. The entire thing is glazed in white with multiple colors splattered on it. The skill I used when making this project was altering the project while still spinning the wheel. The art element shown in this project was shape because of the way the altered top of the bowl.

This is a wheel pitcher that is 4''x2''. It has straight walls and a small mouth at the top. In the middle on the outside walls there is an engraved pattern in "s" waves. The entire project is glazed in a dark blue with the engraving wiped clear. A skill that is used when making this project was creating the engraving while the project was still spinning on the wheel. An art element in this project is mostly shape as shown with the engravings on the outside.
