This week i made a variety of projects. While working on my set of three I had extra time to create extra credit projects that will be glazed probably on Friday. I think the most memorable moment of this week was when Quentin's wheel started smoking for no reason. We later found that it had probably been an electrical fire. It gave everyone a good laugh. Overall it was a successful week.

This week I created and then re did many of my projects. There were just small problems like too thick or too thin or too dry. It was extra work to re make them but I definitely learned my lesson about leaving thing in the cupboards without a bag. All my re done projects were put on the bisque shelf and I should be able to glaze them next week. I'm excited to see how they turn out.

This week I glazed the above bowl and also made a tall project. The tall project came out way better then I would have thought. I also worked on a second tall project but this time adding a lid. I'm not sure how good the lid will fit but I will have to wait and see until after break. Overall all the projects I made came out good this week.

This week I was gone Monday but was able to catch up with a lot of concentrating on the wheel. One project that I made this week that I had never made before was a tall project. It was probably one of my best projects. I started out with just a cylinder but then shaped it into a subtly shaped vase. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

First week projects

This is my first week of advanced ceramics. I am excited to learn the several different techniques for making a variety of projects. One of the projects I'm most excited for is the tea pot. I have not chosen my theme for this semester yet but I am deciding between a couple choices. I can't wait to get started on the wheel and improve at ceramics.
