This week is the last week before presentations for the advanced students.we have been cleaning this entire week and it looks great. Mrs heidmans been pushing everyone around so everyone does there part which has helped a lot.  I can't believe that I won't be in ceramics anymore it makes me really sad😥 hopefully I an still visit even thought I won't be int he class and I will definitely be looking forward to a future semester in my. Ext two years of high school cuz I don't ink I could live without ceramics at least one more time!

This week has just been absolutely amazing in the ceramics room. I have been making projects that I never knew I could before..even mr meserve was impressed so I'm happy about that one. I can't believe I hadn't tried working with bigger clay in the past because it's honestly sooo much fun. I can't wait to keep making bigger and better projects!

I have begun using a lot more clay then I have ever used in the last. I will come home and my arms will actually be sore from trying to center them. I live working with this much clay though because I am able to make pretty good projects that teachers admire! I'm excited to keep making big projects and showing them off!! The glaze is particularly difficult though and hopefully I will be able to do something like the bowl below in the future.

This week I experimented a lot with the different shapes of my projects. I've been debating whether or not to switch my theme topic from just vases to different types of bowls because I seem to be able to create better bowls than vases with larger amounts of clay. I will continue to work on this next week while my miscellaneous projects are in the kiln.

This week I'd say was a very productive and good week. I was able to attach all pieces of my teapot and it came out good. The kid didn't shrink as much as the base which made the lid a little bigger than I wanted but it still fits pretty good. Also on Thrusday I was able to make a large vase that I'm very anxious to foot and load into the kiln:)! Another one if my projects from last week also came out too.

This week the clay was really really wet so I had troubles making a lot of projects but I did experiment with some new techniques and ended up making one project that I like a lot just because of the size I guess. Hopefully next week I will be bake to make more

This week I experimented with different shapes on the wheel. I am trying to decide whether to change my theme or not. I may switch it so that the theme has more to do with the structures of the projects instead of the glazes because I concentrated on glazes last year. I will continue to work on this throughout next week.

This week I experimented with different types of shapes  on the wheel. I am trying to decided what theme I for sure want to do and instead of having it relating to glazes I think I'm going to change it so that the basic structure of my projects are the same but I will be able to do multiple types of glazes. I will work next week on trying to figure more stuff out.

This week I concentrated mostly on my multi wheel project. I've decided to make a tea pot even though it's a lot of work for just one project I think I will feel very accomplished once it is all done. The body of the teapot is wide and the lid I made fits absolutely perfectly which I was very proud of. If ant wait to put it all together next week! I also experimented with glazes and drips which I think I will continue in future projects.

This week I made a couple new projects but some got too dried out so I had to throw them away which was disappointing but the vase shown below is one that survived. I'm not sure if I like the glaze on this it might just be because it was fairly thin. I am planning to make a teapot next week which should be interesting because my last teapot turned out ok but not great. I hope I can improve on it this time!
