This week I made several projects that were bigger than my past projects. I am very proud of the multitude of projects I made and hope to continue to make more of them in the future. I did miss days because I was sick and a couple of my projects were ruined but I will make them up next week hopefully before the quarter ends.

This week I was amazed by some of the things I did. By using twice the amount of clay that I usually do I was able to make many more impressive projects that I'm excited to get sometime this next week to glaze and take home to show off. I find that once I get the massive amount of clay centered its easy to then make projects but if it is off centered the projects end up weird although I still keep them. I'm glad I have finally gotten the hang of pulling up the walls and shaping cylinders into a variety of things. I'm am excited to see what create next week!

This week I worked mainly on trying to create a larger plate. I didn't realize how difficult it was to make just one flat circle. There is a lot of technique that has to be considered plus the amount if clay is very important as well. Two days I tried making plates and I made the bottoms to thin. Then I tried the third day making it with porcelain which was a lot easier and I finally succeeded. I was able to then foot on Friday so I'm looking forward to seeing that this next week. Someone in my ceramics class also made me a project which was kind of interesting but a highlight to my week!:) I also began glazing projects that I made a week ago and will continue to at least one day next week.

This week a lot of my projects went in the glaze kiln. I was excited when they hall came out. My set of three turned out better than I originally  thought and so did this mug seen below. The glaze on the mug sort of blended and dripped together creating a really cool pattern. As well as finishing projects I also made another mug and a sort of cereal bowl made out of poor lien just to try it out. They were wetter than usual when I footed them so I am anxious to find out how they turned out next week.
